In an effort to develop audiences for the arts and to offer artists opportunities to showcase their work, the Putnam Arts Council manages The Levine Art Gallery and the Annex Gallery within its facility, the Belle Levine Art Center, which is currently under construction. Consequently, the Putnam Arts Council is offering exhibitions at alternative sites throughout the community. See the gallery schedule below for details.

Lost Boys of Sudan, with featured speaker
Abraham Awolich, a former Sudanese refugee,
who will discuss the history of the war and the
personal impact it had on his life. Mr. Awolich
will also share information on the work he is
doing now with the New Sudan Education
Initiative, to rebuild southern Sudan’s
education system.

Welcome Back to the Farm Day


A free day of activities and events sponsored by Preserve Putnam, Inc. to celebrate and enjoy Tilly Foster Farm, Route 312, Brewster. The day will include musical and cultural events made possible in partnership with the Putnam Arts Council and will feature a concert by Montgomery Delaney at 2pm along with other activities including basket-weaving and pottery demonstrations from 11am-2pm.

Bring a blanket or chair for the concert. If inclement weather, concert will be in the Putnam Arts Council’s gallery space located in The Lodge, Building 8 at Tilly Foster Farm. Exhibition opportunities of the Putnam Arts Council are not restricted to Putnam County artists. Our exhibits feature the work of local, regional and nationally recognized artists.

Members of the Putnam Arts Council receive discounts on all juried entry fees. Membership is encouraged and appreciated but is not required for participation in our juried or invitational exhibits. (click here for member info )
