PROSPECTUSELIGIBILITY:
Working artists 75 and over are invited to exhibit a maximum of 2 pieces of original fine art. Artwork must have been completed within the past five years and may not have been previously exhibited with the Putnam Arts Council.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Two-dimensional work must be framed with screw eyes and wire attached, ready to be hung. Three-dimensional free-standing objects must be securely attached to their bases and may not exceed 48" x 48" x 72"; weight must be manageable by one person.
JUROR OF AWARDS:
James B. Sparks is a prolific painter, photographer and instructor whose work has been shown and collected country-wide. His BFA in Painting is from Washington University and MFA from the University of Southern California.
CASH AWARDS:
Best in Show, Second Place & Third Place. All awards will be selected at the discretion of the Juror and will be announced at a public reception Sunday, June 2nd , 2-4pm.
FORMS/LABELS:
Entry forms will be provided at time of drop-off. Please help us to identify your work by placing a label on the BACK (or bottom if your work is a sculpture) which includes your name along with the title, medium & price of the artwork.
FEES:
$25 per artist / $20 for Putnam Arts Council members. Artists may receive the discounted entry fee by joining the Arts Council at time of drop-off. $15 is the annual membership rate for Senior Citizens and provides timely information and discounts on all exhibits, classes and special events.
SALES:
The Putnam Arts Council retains a 35% commission on sales.
HAND DELIVERY OF ARTWORK:
Thursday 5/23, Friday 5/24, Saturday 5/25: 11:00 – 1:00, or by appointment. All artwork must be received by Saturday, 5/25. Please bring a copy of your bio/Artist’s Statement for our Exhibit Book.
PICK UP AT CONCLUSION OF SHOW:
Sunday 6/23 noon -2pm or by appointment.
