and the application deadline will be sometime in
late October or early November.

The Arts Link Regrant Program is managed and monitored by the Putnam Arts Council and provides funding to artists, arts organizations and community non-profits, facilitating quality arts projects and activities throughout Putnam County that are open to public. Goals of the Arts Link Program include: supporting programs that enrich the quality of life for County residents, expanding opportunities for artists and arts organizations and developing audiences for the arts.
The Arts Link Program is comprised of a combination of public funds received through the New York State Council on the Arts through the Decentralization Program, with support from Governor Andrew Cuomo and the NYS Legislature and with funds received from Putnam County Government. Grant requests to the Arts Link Program always exceed funds available and each year the process is competitive. In no instance will the Arts Link Program fund more than 70% of a project’s cost and in all instances a 50% cash match is encouraged but not required (see guidelines for each program for details).
The process includes applications be evaluated by a panel comprised of artists, educators, business and community members, who review the many requests submitted to the Putnam Arts Council. The panel then recommends funding for the projects it feels reach a broad audience, generate the most benefit to the community and support the professional development of artists and arts groups. Recommendations are then submitted to the Board of the Putnam Arts Council for their approval. County funded grant recommendations also need to be approved by the Putnam County Legislature.
The Program is managed and monitored by the Putnam Arts Council with auditing help provided by interested volunteers.
State funded Decentralization (DEC) grants support Community Arts projects and require a minimum request of $800 and a maximum request of $5,000. 2014 grants ranged from $800 to $3500 with an average of $1350. 2014 recipients are listed below. In 2015 PAC will disseminate $23,000 through the DEC component of its Arts Link Program.
DEC is supported through public funds from the NYS

The Putnam Arts Fund (PAF) is supported with public funds from Putnam County and fosters Community Arts projects with a minimum request of $500 and a maximum of $2000; 2014 grants ranged from $500 to $2000 with an average of $1,200. 2014 recipients are listed below. In 2015 PAC will disseminate $11,000 through the County supported Putnam Arts Fund component of its Arts Link Program.
